Scorch the seeds of division!

This entry is going to be a little rough.  First off, please understand that my intention is to bring attention to seeds of division within the Body of Christ.  I have noticed this happening in churches all over.  The last thing that we need is anyone bringing any type of division to a church body.  We have Satan to try and tear us down and he doesn’t need our help.  It is that fact that I give a call to all members of the Body of Christ to cease the senseless bickering between one another that has been going on for way too long.  I have heard everything from people griping about the children’s workers to who got invited to what.  To begin with, the only thing that you need to be worried about being invited to is the Wedding Supper of the Lamb.  Past that it’s all a bunch of self righteous bickering.
I understand that there are some things that need to be brought up and dealt with.  When a church is formed and grows, it's almost as if God throws a bunch of people in a bag shakes it up, pours them out in one spot and says, "Get Along!"  There is a way to deal with problems that might arise when one disagrees with another.  Back biting and gossiping about the person that you have a problem with IS NOT IT!!!  Death and life are in the power of the tongue.  What you say can be used against you AND THEM.  Furthermore, Proverbs 26:21 says As charcoal is to burning coals, and wood to fire, so is a contentious man to kindle strife.   If you bring up a genuine problem without strife in your heart, you will be dispelling instead of kindling.  Leave your personal problems at the door and approach the problem and the necessary people with love (instead of fury), then you will find the problems are much more easily dealt with.
Now to look at this subject from the aspect that is the source of the title.  "What in the world are you talking about?"  I'm glad you asked.  When someone, be it Satan or somebody with chip on their shoulder, comes along and starts sowing division within a church body there are many ways that it can go.  You have to be the right kind of soil for the bad seed to begin to produce a crop.  I am going to paraphrase Matthew 13:5,6 a little to show you what I mean.  Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much soil; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the SON was present they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.  That sounds some what familiar.  "Do not give the devil a foot hold"?  DONT GIVE IT ANY WAY TO SPROUT!!!  When you are constantly focused on the will of God and furthering His kingdom, you have no time for ridiculous arguing.  Strife is more easily dispelled and you will see the revival of a dead church.  We all need to ask God what we should do about a certain situation instead of our friends, or ourselves for that matter.
Grace and Peace be with you ALWAYS!!!
