Seeing through Christ colored glasses

When you look at your selves and other Christians, what do you see?  I mean as a whole, I know that they are all different.  What is it that you see them as?  If you do not see actions similar to those of Jesus, then there is a problem.  As I found out a few years ago when I looked at myself, sometimes what you think Jesus would do is actually exactly the opposite.  Then when someone sees you doing that very thing and then they come to the conclusion that that is what a Christian acts like and that they want no part of it at all.  That is where you ruin your own testimony as well as multiple others.  You are not required to live a "Christian" life, you were given free will so that you could choose for yourselves.  Joshua 24:15 "15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  Does that sound like anybody is trying to twist your arm to make you do anything?  I think not.
Now let's flip the script here a little bit.  Lets say that you know someone that gets on your nerves CONSTANTLY!!!  You cannot stand to even be in the room alone with them, let alone talk to them.  Answer this question: How does God see them?  Are they sinners?  YES Did Jesus die for their salvation just like yours?  most definitely  Then why are we not able to love on them?  I know its hard.  It is so difficult for me to have to deal with some people.  However the simple fact is that God so loved them AND YOU that he gave His Son....etc. When the people that get to heaven get there, their jaws are gonna drop to the floor when they find out who made it.  The fact is that NO MATTER WHAT, we must show love to them.
The point here is that we must portray the love of Christ to ALL, saved and Gentile, heathen and Christian alike.  Just like the unchurched person mentioned above, if you shun a fellow believer they may wind up being the heathen because they lost their faith because they were shunned by the people that were supposed to be their brothers and sisters in the faith.  Go forth and LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
Grace and Peace be with you Always!
