Deception is the devil's greatest tool

In the first 3 chapters of Genesis, the greatest tools from both God and Satan were put into play.  God used His creative power to make everything in existence.  Satan used the most powerful weapon in his arsenal: DECEPTION!!!  Satan tells Eve that she will not die if she eats the fruit of the tree that she was forbidden to eat of directly by God (Gen 3:4).  What Eve (and probably Satan as well) didn’t know was that it was not a bodily death but spiritual.  She gave some of the fruit to Adam and he ate, thereby cursing us all.  Eve was deceived to think that it would be okay to break a command that came directly from the mouth of God.  Does that sound familiar?  Know someone that has had sex with many random partners, stolen something (large or small), lied about anything ever, and disrespected their parents?  They have been deceived to thinking that they were right in what they were doing.  I can tell you that I was under that deception for a long time.  I mentioned those sins because I used to be guilty of ALL OF THEM!  I finally came to the place, through revelation from God that I needed to put those away from me. 

Afterwards, I realized the level of deception that I was under.  The really mind cramping part is when I realized that if I rejected the Word of God, which displays a large part of His character, I was actually rejecting God Himself. 

The Word of God is Truth!  If you deny that fact then you are deceiving yourself.  I say that because if you have read the Word and, for instance, you lie to people on a daily basis and attempt to justify it, you are the deceiver and the deceived.  Don’t deceive yourself, the devil tries to do that enough as it is. “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth!” (Ephesians 6:14)

Now back to the enemy of all Christians: Satan.  He can make people think that suicide is their only way out, beating their spouse/kids is the best way to establish authority, divorce is the only way to be happy, etc.  The most dangerous of all deceptions is to make people think that God does not exist.  Somebody telling me that God does not exist is like telling me that I cannot go to Savannah.  I’ve been there plenty of times, I know it’s there.  I know that God is there, I have heard Him speak.  That is why I reiterate the fact that we ARE IN A WAR!!!  Satan is constantly deceiving those not prepared to recognize and resist his attacks. 

If people are not tricked into thinking that God don’t exist, then they are convinced that God wrecks their car, breaks their leg, gives them cancer, takes all of their money, and that living a humble life before God means that they have to be dirt poor to please Him.  There are countless passages for how God wants you to be blessed and for you to prosper!  I encourage you to study that out, it is MIND BLOWING!  Basically, all you have to do is walk in His Word and obey Him, and you’ll be blessed.
