I Know it's hard, but put all your trust in Him!

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make straight your path

One of the most difficult things for nearly all believers to do is trust God and let him do his God-thing.  He can see all of time. He sees what you are going to do, what you have done, and what you are currently doing.  It is inconceivable for our finite minds to comprehend that concept. We are not to rely on our ability to understand His motives.  Imagine what would happen if you prayed for a million dollars to appear in your bank account.  Then in a moment of freak out, you went and spent it and bought things you couldn’t afford.  Just like when the first of the year comes around: Tax Time!  People get so anxious to get that few hundred dollars in their pockets that they get that "instant money" that is advertised on tv.  What they fail to realize is that half of their return is spent on the fees and interest on the loan that they take out to get that instant refund.  My pastor and his wife always say, "Slow and steady wins the race."  BE PATIENT!!!  Then when they get the instant refund, they buy a cell phone, put money down on a car, buy clothes; all of which they cannot afford normally.  Then when their refund money runs out they turn around and blame God for their stupidity.  I prayed for a job that I wanted really badly.  I didn't get it and of course I was hurt and angry.  That was in 2008 and the person that got the job was hired just months before a huge layoff happened and he ultimately wound up going out with that crowd.  If I had gotten the job then I would have been out of a job for the 3rd time that year!  If He prevents that from happening for you to begin with, you stay in your situation, rely on Him to have his plan unfold, and you will be blessed to the likes of which that the lottery only wishes it could do.  Take Job for instance.  Yes, he was blessed to begin with.  However, when he lost all that he had he refused to turn from his blameless path.  Then his health took a nosedive like the stock market, and even when his friends and his own wife tried to convince him otherwise, he kept praising God even though he wanted to die to be released from the pain.  His friends even went as far as to tell him that he must have done something wrong to deserve what he was getting.
When God was questioning Job, his response to God was nothing but humble and exalting God.  It is this kind of attitude that we should always have towards Him that hung the stars in the sky and gave the same sky its limits.  We are not always going to get results that we understand because His word says that His ways are not our ways.  It is beyond our capacity to understand His actions all the time.  Humble yourself to Him and He will exalt you.
